Extended lateral protection
EPG-EX GLASSES WITH LATERAL PROTECTION AGAINST X-RAYS
Effective eye protection for healthcare staff working with X-ray equipment.
Acrylic-lead is a revolutionary material enabling strong radiation while being lightweight. The Acrylic-lead shields are extended laterally to include protection from the side. Mounted on a stylish frame, the shields can be flipped-up when no needed. The EPG-EX Glasses are ultra light weight and come with an adjustable nose bridge to provide maximum comfort. The EPG-EX Glasses can be worn over regular size prescription glasses.

Our eyes are sensitive, even to very low doses of x-ray radiation exposure. X-ray radiation directed toward the lens surface can cause cataract, sometimes with a delay of several months to a year before opacities appear
X-Ray Induced Cataract
The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) has revised its eye dose threshold and the occupational annual dose limit significantly downwards. More recent epidemiological studies suggest a ‘no threshold’, as even extremely low doses of radiation can induce cataracts.
Protect your eyes against a decrease in eyesight, sharpness, ability to focus and see objects in bright sunlight, which are among the typical symptoms with posterior subscapular cataracts.
PROTECT YOUR EYES AGAINST X-RAY INDUCED CATARACT
